Bring your blankets, and chairs, and join us in celebrating the first peoples of the Americas once again at Shackamaxon (Penn Treaty Park ), Philadelphia PA.
This year in addition to all the amazing artists, artisans, and dignitaries who are returning to share their art, culture, and histories, we are delighted to announce that the Awesome Skye Dancers, an ensemble of performers and musicians from the Six Nations, and members of the five Lenape (Delaware) federal tribes are joining this day of joy and awareness.
Through a celebration of art, culture, and performances, our annual Indigenous Peoples Day Philly provides a space for different Native Americans, First Nations & Indigenous Americans in Philadelphia to increase awareness and encourage dialogue about Indigenous history, resilience, and strength from 500+ years of Indigenous resistance in the Americas.
