BRING YOUR BLANKETS, AND CHAIRS, AND JOIN US IN CELEBRATING THE FIRST PEOPLES OF THE AMERICAS ONCE AGAIN AT SHACKAMAXON (PENN TREATY PARK ), PHILADELPHIA PA.
This year, along with the incredible artists, artisans, and dignitaries who are returning to showcase their art, culture, and histories, we are excited to announce that the Lenape Dancers from Oklahoma—an ensemble from the Delaware Tribe of Indians—will be joining us to share their history, dances, and songs.
Founded by three Indigenous women, this year will be the 9th pan-Indigenous celebration that combines contemporary and traditional arts, cultures, storytelling, histories, and foods to increase awareness of the First Peoples of the Americas from the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Join us in this vital movement about Indigenous history and resilience, shaped by over 500 years of resistance against the myth of Cristóbal Colón and the Doctrine of Discovery.
