Happy Summer from Indigenous Peoples’ Day Philly, Inc!
We hope you are enjoying this season of renewal and spiritual growth, celebrated through vibrant festivals and ceremonies that honor the sun’s radiant light.
In our Summer Newsletter, we are excited to showcase the inspiring stories of a powerful Two-Spirit Powwow in Arizona. We will also highlight the tireless efforts of Indigenous communities and activists in the USA, Brazil, and Chile who are boldly standing up to protect their ancestral territories.
Additionally, we are pleased to offer a diverse range of resources that explore LGBTQ2S+ identities, address critical fishing rights in the Pacific Northwest, and provide insight into the rich history of Indigenous resistance movements throughout Canada and the USA.
Moreover, our carefully selected books shine a light on the struggles and triumphs in regions such as Canada and Ecuador. Furthermore, we are proud to feature the groundbreaking The 500 Years of Resistance Comic Book: Revised and Expanded that vividly illustrates the resilience and ongoing resistance of Indigenous movements across Turtle Island and Abya Yala.
Lastly, at IPD Philly, we are thrilled to announce our 9th Annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration in Philadelphia! As we bask in these long summer days, we invite you to join us in this meaningful gathering on Monday, October 13th, where we will come together to honor and uplift our voices.
Join us in celebrating this season and stories that inspire action!
